Covid-19 Vaccination mandate

As you will no doubt be aware, the government has legislated a mandate that requires all bodywork therapists, as health care workers who are in close contact with clients, to be double vaccinated, and businesses to require all clients attending the clinic to also be double vaccinated.

I am double-vaccinated.

From Friday 3rd December, NZ will be moving to the new traffic light system. This means that I will be required to ask all clients to show their vaccination passes before they enter my clinic.

How it will work at The Centre for Nature Connection:

  • When you arrive you will scan in with your Covid app (as you do at the moment) and sanitise your hands.
  • I am required to ask to see your Vaccine Pass (which has a QR code on) on your phone or as a hard copy.
  • I have a Verifier app (on my phone) which will scan your QR code and show your vaccination status (it only either shows us a tick and the word 'valid' or if the Pass is not valid, the app will state why e.g. the pass has expired).

Your FLOWpresso treatment

  • You will not need to wear a mask during your actual FLOWpresso treatment.
  • You are fully clothed throughout the treatment – the suit ‘does the work’.
  • Once you are in the ‘suit’ and settings are to your liking I will move to the next room (you are able to call for me and I will come back in to help you with anything as needed).
  • The only time I am less than a metre distance from you is when I am wrapping you in the suit and removing it – this takes about 5-10 minutes each time.
  • I will be wearing a mask throughout the time we are in the room together for your FLOWpresso treatment.

I know that there is a lot of strong emotion around this issue and ask that you respect that I am just trying to follow the rules to help keep people safe and well, including my own family and yours. Please rest assured that I believe that judgement doesn't fit within my therapeutic environment, and that any information you share with me remains highly confidential.
The procedures that are being put in place are to help stop the spread of COVID-19 and to help make us all feel safe.
